I trained in the UK (Cambridge University and St Mary’s, London). After spending 2 years in rural areas of New Zealand the lure of a great lifestyle in a wonderful environment proved too over-powering and my wife and I set up home in the Moutere.
Our children were born and raised here, attending the local schools, including the Motueka High School where my wife runs the French Department.
I took up general practice here more than 20 years ago, as a solo practitioner for the first 10 years before being ‘rescued’ by my work partner Deborah Morris. We continue to provide shared care for our patients at Greenwood Health, offering a full range of GP services between us alongside a third GP Kirsty Moore. I am also one of the trainer GPs for students, registrars and junior doctors.
