Greenwood Health took some drastic steps to try and assist in reducing potential spread of COVID-19 and have now seen this play out nationally in the last few days as we move to Level 4.

Although we are still open we ask that you refrain from visiting our practice unless absolutely necessary. Before you visit please call and discuss your health needs with our team and together we will determine the best course of action for your particular situation. Most of our healthcare can be delivered virtually and we have moved to phone and online consultations in place of face-to-face.

If you have travelled or had contact with someone who has confirmed coronavirus and have symptoms of a sore throat, cough or fevers please call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 and take your directions from their triage service. Please do not call this number for general information, the Ministry of Health has excellent information on their website.

If your health need requires you to come in to the practice, we will ask you to wait in your car and may ask you to wear a mask into your consultation. We ask that you please assist us and respect these directions.

During this health crisis we are not accepting new patient enrollments. If you require urgent healthcare then please do contact us and we will advise you of the best course of action. Otherwise please contact your regular healthcare provider.

We appreciate your assistance in reducing the potential spread of this virus.

Flu Vaccines

Although we have received some vaccine stock, they are limited and as soon as they come in, they are going out. If you want to make an appointment for a vaccine then please keep up to date on whether there is available stock by clicking on the Facebook link below.

We have been receiving large numbers of enquiries about the flu vaccine, so please be patient with us as we try to ensure as many of you can get the vaccine as possible:

We have been advised by the Ministry of Health that until the 13 April only those who meet eligibility criteria (see information sheet from Influenza Programme 2020) will be able to access the vaccine.

Thank you all again for your patience and support while we work hard to keep our community safe.
