Originally born in Balclutha, I grew up mainly in the UK with some time also living on the North Island.
I completed my undergraduate study in Sheffield, UK before working in Nelson hospital for several years and then training as a GP- in part at Greenwood Health.
We he recently moved back to the region after some time in the UK where I was running a GP practice and a small community hospital.
My wife, Terina, and I have three young kids, so when not working I love getting out and about with them to beaches, tramping, mountain biking, swimming, fishing and anything else this great area has to offer.
I have an interest in lifestyle medicine and particularly type 2 diabetes reversal or medication reduction through diet and lifestyle change.
I am a strong advocate of the power of exercise/sleep/stress management and nutrition based approaches to help prevent disease and improve wellbeing.
